About Terry Gingras, Ph.D.
As a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, and executive and life coach, he is skilled at helping his clients improve performance and live up to their potential.
Terry is an acknowledged expert in attention deficit disorder and learning disability. He is an accomplished practitioner with particular skills in neuropsychological and psychological assessment.
As a coach, performance enhancement specialist and sports psychologist he has helped athletes, musicians and public speakers achieve optimal performance.
Terry has extensive experience in promoting executive wellness and has developed and presented numerous programs on stress management, job stress and technostress. He was the consultant on stress management to the USAF Air Combat Command.
He is an accomplished speaker and writer who has presented workshops to groups such as the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the East Anglia division of the British Health Organization, the Virginia Department of Rehabilitation Services and the Peninsula Attention Deficit Disorder Association.
In addition to a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona, Terry (everybody needs a hobby and his is going to school) has completed post-doctoral programs in neuropsychology and behavioral medicine. He has also completed an Air Force-sponsored certification program in aviation psychology.
Terry attempts to achieve balance in his life by spending time with his wife, Sharon (also a coach) and their three adult children. He enjoys kayaking, hiking, fine music, good friends and fine wine. He and Sharon do an annual hiking tour in Europe.
Terry is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology and his local chamber of commerce.
